REALLY good and very quick and easy. I bought breasts and halved them and I used haricots verts. Definitely company worthy.

I would definitely make this one again. The whole family loved it. They especially liked the addition of lemon zest to the rice to compliment the chicken. (I used rice instead of orzo.)

Let me start by saying I'm not a huge fan of lemon or lemon sauces, but this dish was fabulous. I used a whole lemon and scraped the skin with a paring knife (didn't have a grater). Also I added in 2 tbsp. garlic with the chicken broth. The sauce had a smokey taste to it which was very pleasant and the butter and lemon were perfectly balanced so the lemon taste was not overpowering. I also sprinkled some flour onto my chicken breast halves before cooking them gave them a crispy outer texture, YUM! I would recommend boiling the orzo in chicken broth as I've done several times before (for other recipes as well). While your orzo boils, sautee broccoli in a seperate pan with garlic, add mushrooms when broccoli is almost finished then add the vegetable mixture to the orzo when it is almost finished. :) MMM!

I have been dieting for nearly 3 months. I tried this recipe for the first time tonight for dinner. I did make a few minor changes to fit into today's meal plan. I cut the olive oil and butter to 2 tsp each and since I didn't have any orzo, used basmati rice. Man, was this ever good!!! It is the best chicken breast dish I have EVER made, low cal or not. It's as easy as pie too. It's lemony delish! You must try this one.

I made this chicken last week & thought it was delicious. Next time I will double the sauce ingredients tho, cuz the sauce made the dish. I used $2 chuck wine too (lol) but it was just the right amount of lemon & capers. For the orzo, I felt it was dry so I added about a tablespoon each of heavy cream, parmesan & pasta water, it sauced right up. i added sauteed spinach to balance out the meal. Husband says its a "keeper"

I thought it tasted just fine and was very easy to make but I wasn't blown away by it. I'll probably make this recipe again when I'm looking for a different way to fix chicken but I think there are other piccata recipes out there that may be better.

This dish was fantastic! I doubled all the ingredients for the sauce (including the capers). There was honestly a little too much sauce for the amount of chicken but the flavor is so great, we wanted to drink it with a spoon. I couldn't find orzo but used a quick-cook mushroom risotto instead. It was a very easy weekday meal that we will definitely make again!

Super easy weeknight chicken and it's almost impossible to mess up. This has become a go-to when I'm short on time. The lemon rind in the orzo was too much for the hubby and kids. I liked it, but I'm a lemon freak. Now I just cook the orzo in broth and squeeze some lemon juice into it at the end.

With so many piccata recipes readily available, I won't keep this underwhelming version. The lemon rind in the orzo is a nice touch, but too few capers -- they got lost along the way. I followed the recipe and believe that the photographs contains more than 1 tbsp of capers. My measured portions certainly contained fewer! This wasn't bad, but there are better options out there.

Delicious, but I found it didn't make very much sauce. The Orzo was a great compliment.

Followed the recipe exactly. It was good, definitely authentic chicken piccata flavor, but overall was kind of underwhelming. I would give it 4 stars, but I don't think it's "worthy of a special occasion."

While not quite as tasty as the restaurant version, this recipe was tangy, lemony, and delicious. It satisfied! http://meganskitchenadventures.blogspot.com/2010/12/chicken-piccata-with-orzo.html

I made this recipe for 2 people, not 4, and will make some changes next time: Even though I was cooking for 2 people, I doubled up on the sauce ingredients and still felt like there wasn't enough. The lemon rind mixed in the orzo isn't necessary if you place the chicken piccata over it and use less lemon juice than they call for as ours tasted too lemony. If you need to save time, buy pre-cooked chicken. I also cooked the orzo in chicken broth for added flavor. Overall an easy, simple recipe I'll make again.

This recipe was simple and amazing. It tasted light and healthy, and the sauce was extremely flavorful. The orzo was a great addition to the chicken. I added 2 more tablespoons of lemon juice to amplify the taste, but I highly recommend this recipe! I will absolutely be making it again.

I don't like piccata. Mostly because I despise capers. Not as bad as olives. So imagine my surprise when this was on the menu for last night. And more shocking was that I picked it. (DH loves piccata, so I must have been feeling nice). It was quick, and easy. We both thought it was strange there was no flour but eh. DH picked the capers out of my sauce. The taste was very good. Rich with a zing. The orzo was merely a side. Will have again.

Very simple, delicious recipe. I doubled the wine amount and used skinless, boneless, organic chicken thighs. Served with a green salad. I made the chicken part ahead of time and reheated after cooking the orzo 6 hrs. later. Good enough for company. A keeper!

YUMMMMMYYYY!!!! Sauce is the perfect combination of tangy and savory. Served with sauteed veggies (snow peas, carrots and asparagus). Used whole wheat orzo. Hubby loved it as well. Will make many times again.
