Thursday, June 6-Sunday, June 9: Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival in the Cultural District
12-8 p.m.

The 64th annual Three Rivers Arts Festival is underway, and the weather is idyllic, so take full advantage of the next four days and nights. Open from noon to 8 p.m. daily, attractions are located within Pittsburgh’s 14-block Cultural District. The expanded Artist Market features 300 booths along Fort Duquesne Boulevard and the Rachel Carson Bridge. Trailblazing hip-hop group Sugarhill Gang & The Furious Five are not to miss on Saturday. Thursday, June 6: Forging a Legacy Symposium and Roundtable at The Frick Pittsburgh
9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. & 6:30-8 p.m.

Go beyond the galleries to explore the museum’s milestone “Vermeer, Monet, Rembrandt” exhibition during this two-part program. Starting the day, the symposium explores the legacy of the “father-daughter collecting dynasty” of Henry Clay Frick and Helen Clay Frick. During the evening roundtable, local experts will delve beyond the trappings of the Gilded Age to examine “the impact, both positive and negative, of the industrialists who ruled Pittsburgh’s economy and society.” Tickets.

Thursday, June 6: “Sister’s Summer School Catechism: God Never Takes A Vacation!” at City Theatre

School may (almost) be out for summer, but Sister Kim is donning her habit to instruct and entertain devoted catechism students. You’ll love going back to school via this hit show created by Maripat Donovan. Each performance includes a collection to support the retired nuns at Little Sisters of the Poor and Sisters of Divine Providence. Born and baptized in Green Tree, Kimberly Richards has toured the continent starring in the one-woman show. Tickets.

Friday, June 7 & Saturday, June 8: River Rocks Benefit & Grand Opening Festival at Allegheny RiverTrail Park
6-10 p.m. & 2-9 p.m.

The region is getting greener thanks to efforts along the Allegheny River in Aspinwall. Dubbed From Scrapyard to Scenic Green Space, this two-day celebration marks the completion of an ambitious undertaking at Allegheny RiverTrail Park. The project transformed 6 acres from an industrial wasteland to a public green space connecting river communities, adding 1.5 miles of new trail and doubling the park’s size. The festivities kick off with Friday’s ticketed River Rocks Benefit. Saturday’s free festival features music by Jamestown Revival, food trucks, family programs and vendors. Information.

Friday, June 7: Chloe Troast at Bottlerocket Social Hall
7:30 & 9:45 p.m.

She’s the newest feature player cast member on “Saturday Night Live” and now you can see her perform on the Bottlerocket stage. Chloe Troast is also filming for Judd Apatow’s next film, “Please Don’t Destroy,” is co-creator and co-star of the wildly popular series, “The Basics” and is working on her debut “Adult Swim Smalls” series. There’s a show for the early birds and one for the late-night crowd, so get your tickets now.

Saturday, June 8 & Sunday, June 9: Juneteenth Youth Fest & Black Heritage Celebration at Mellon Park
8 a.m.-4 p.m. & 5-9 p.m.

Leading up to the signature Juneteenth festivities produced by Stop the Violence Pittsburgh is this two-day celebration in Shadyside. The Youth Fest is packed with family-friendly activities, sports tournaments, contests and games. Highlights include Pittsburgh Pirates play-ball showcase, a Youth Fun Zone and Pittsburgh Penguins dek hockey. On Sunday, Damar Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation CPR Tour will offer free CPR training by the American Heart Association. From 5 to 9 p.m., the Black Heritage Celebration festivities will feature a tribute to “Line Dance King” Roland Ford, wellness activities, food vendors, DJs and national acts. Saturday, June 8: “Common Wealth” Artist Reception at ZYNKA Gallery
5-8 p.m.

A new exhibition at Sharpsburg’s ZYNKA Gallery explores the intersection of art, reproductive rights and environmental justice. Pittsburgh artist Ashley Cecil created pieces that expand upon the body of work exhibited last fall at the Albany Museum of Art in Georgia. During the opening reception, attendees talk with staff from the Women and Girls Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania about topics sparked by the exhibition. Information.

Bloomfield Prom at the Bloomfield Liedertafel
8 p.m.

Whether you skipped it, attended begrudgingly or were the queen, it’s time to rewrite the book on prom. This inclusive 21+ dance party blends the In Bed by Ten vibe with the full prom experience. Don those fab prom looks — from retro to cutting-edge — for a night of dancing, drinks and photo ops. Sunday, June 9: Rebellious Spirits Day Trip with Rivers of Steel
8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

History and whiskey are on tap for this daylong adventure hosted by Rivers of Steel. Hop aboard the spirits shuttle at the historic Pump House and travel through time to explore the Whiskey Rebellion. Tour stops include the Whiskey Rebellion Visitors Center and three Washington County distilleries, paired with lunch and outings to heritage sites. The excursion ends with a mixology tutorial led Lisa Belczyk of the Fizzy Coupe, who will teach you to create your own Monongahela Rye co*cktail. Tickets.

Sunday, June 9: The Neighborhood Flea at SouthSide Works
10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The flea market season is officially here — and so is your Sunday funday. This homegrown happening produced by I Made It! Market is celebrating 10 years at its new SouthSide Works HQ. Lining South 27th and Sidney streets, the juried market showcases 85 vendors and includes live music and creative workshops. Parking is free on Sundays. Information.

Sunday, June 9: Honky-Tonk Jukebox at Hartwood Acres
7:30 p.m.

The free Allegheny County Summer Concert Series has the antidote to those Sunday Scaries. Put a swing in your step and some honky-tonk in your heart when Pittsburgh musician Jon Bindley brings the country music dance party vibes to Hartwood Acres. Arrive hungry and thirsty, because food trucks, Bella Terra Vineyards and Hop Farm Brewing start service at 6 p.m. Information.
